More than 4,000 kilometers were covered by Ural trucks participating in the Silk Way International Rally. They conquered the dunes of the Astrakhan desert, the mountain passes of Chechnya and Dagestan, the endless Russian roads. After quite a bit of time, a letter of thanks came to the URAL automobile plant for successful cooperation and participation in such a large rally project.

The project manager of the Silk Way International Rally Vladimir Chagin expressed his gratitude to the General Director of AZ URAL Pavel Yakovlev, as well as the sports team of the automobile plant for the assistance provided by the automobile plant in organizing this event.

The Silk Way Rally is always a great and significant event for motorsport fans. The most interesting stages of the rally, diverse landscapes, the highest standards of the event allowed us to demonstrate to the whole world the capabilities of the rally organizers and our partners in holding unique competitions. Conducting 10 stages of the rally along unique and difficult routes is a real test of endurance, ingenuity and technical savvy, and everyone coped with it with honor.

“All together we did a great project and gained tremendous experience. I express my sincere gratitude to you and your staff for your assistance in the organizational and technical support of the project. The well-coordinated work of your team has become a worthy contribution to the organization of the event. We look forward to further cooperation and carrying out future, even more ambitious, projects with you as partners, and we will also be glad to see your crew among the participants, ”the letter of thanks says.

Our "Urals" for the first time took part in such a grandiose large-scale event. The plant provided several models of its all-terrain vehicles for transporting the medical service and the rally security service, as well as household items when moving bivouacs. Also onboard "Ural Next" served to evacuate and transport faulty vehicles from a distance. "Urals" became indispensable assistants throughout the race.
